ASHA KIRAN
Asha Kiran Project in Khalwa block, Khandwa District, Madhya Pradesh is about mainstreaming out of school and drop out children to govt. schools between the ages of 7 to 14 years through special training centres aka Asha Kiran centres. We covered around 1000 children in 2016-17 which increased to 3000 children this year. We are currently operational in more than 60 villages and have placed 40+ trained youth educators to government schools of this region.
Here is an article from the Huffington Post highlighting our work:
We have also worked closely with 50+ Jan Shikshaks and Principals on capacity building and strengthening of their respective teachers and schools.
