Saanchi is a social entrepreneur by experience and a passionate advocate of gender justice who strives in all she does, to treat each person with dignity. She did her bachelors in education and master in business administration and social work with a major in women and child development. Saanchi's decade in the non-profit sector has provided her with expertise in program design, strategy, and implementation.
Co-Founder and CGO
Mohit Raj holds Post Graduation in NGO Management from Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi. Since co-founding TYCIA, Mohit has worked on designing, implementing and monitoring impactful projects. Mohit's 10+ years of innovative achievement in the development sector have earned him recognition as both an Ashoka Fellow and an Obama Foundation Scholar.
Lead, Criminal Justice
After graduating in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Gauri wrote her PhD in Rehabilitation of Prisoners with orientation from Delhi University. Looking for innovative projects in her field, she became engaged with program design and curriculum generation TYCIA's work with incarcerated youth. Gauri has two young daughters, and enjoys weekend family trips and dancing.
Lead, Criminal Justice
It is while she was reading authors like Foucault as a Sociology student at Ambedkar University in Delhi that Eleena’s interest came to prisons. Since coming to TYCIA, Eleena has been on-ground in prisons across Delhi NCR, helping design and implement contextualized educational projects focused around empowering current and former inmates and their communities.
Lead, Community Initiatives
With his roots in Bundelkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Prakash is a long-time Delhi resident who works with TYCIA to implement projects targeted at improving the lives of Delhi's urban migrant population. Prakash has impressive repertoire of on-ground experience with projects connected to youth, sanitation, and health. Prakash has one teenage son and in his free time, he enjoys acting in street-plays.
Lead, Tribal Rights
It is with an immense expertise in groundwork that Tousif joined TYCIA in 2018 and contributed with his knowledge and skills to make a difference for the Korku tribe. With a wealth of experience in education and livelihoods, Tousif truly knows how to engage the community and how to create inclusive initiatives. With his enthusiastic nature he energizes people around him and likes singing catchy songs.
Co-Lead, Tribal Rights
Being a Korku woman herself, Pramila is deeply committed to improve and empower her community. With TYCIA, Pramila has not only created a Korku-Hindi-Korku dictionary but also takes the lead in field operation for TYCIA's work with the Korku tribe. Encouraging and enabling Korku children to stay in school is what gets Pramila out of bed every day, and in her free time, she loves watching old Hindi movies.
Lead, Youth Leadership & Education
Tabish graduated from Jamia Millia Islamia where he studied Human Resources Management. A short experience in the corporate world post-graduation, it became clear to Tabish that it was the development sector that moved him. Tabish began working with TYCIA on Criminal Justice, and has now transitioned to lead Youth Leadership and Education initiatives. In his free time, he likes playing and watching football.
Lead, Finance, Admin, and HR
Vishwas is a commerce graduate from the University of Delhi, who, in the midst of exams to become a chartered accountant, took a 'leap of faith' and decided to work for an NGO out of a desire to fulfill his humane duty towards helping others making the most of this lifetime. In his free time, Vishwas enjoys reading biographies, and collecting rare currencies.
Richa has eight years of experience in social work and is an expert in curating, incubating and mentoring self-sustainable small-scale projects targeting adolescent girls and young women in the areas of health and livelihood. With TYCIA, Richa is engaged in program design and implementation of our livelihood programs supporting women from communities at risk across India.
Lead, Ground Reporting and Communications
Rayan studied Journalism at Osmania University in Hyderabad, his hometown. He joined TYCIA in the pandemic out of a burning need he felt to document both the horrors of the crisis, as well as the efforts of those who were helping out. At TYCIA, Rayan is in charge of photo/video documenting projects, and when he has time, he enjoys watching movies and riding his motorcycle.
Co-Lead, Admin, Finance & Human Resources
Navdha joined TYCIA as a way to integrate her life-long desire to help people with her career interests in human resources and finance. She has completed her graduation., and is currently working on a masters' degree in Economics. In her spare time, Navdha enjoys listening to regional music, and is known to be an excellent listener.
Lead, Drafting and Reporting
Lindsay is an American law student who first became involved with TYCIA when she accidentally found herself in India at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She currently supports us across thematics with drafting and reports. Lindsay is passionate intercultural understanding, the transformative power of education, and finding excuses to return to India.
